Dedicated to raising awareness and providing information on end of life veterinary care and in-home peaceful pet euthanasia.

Introduction

Dignified Departures has been born because of an exceptional connection and bond developed between Karen Lindsey, Douglas and Anna Wood.

Karen was the proud pet owner of Douglas the Westie, her ‘perfect little boy’ and Anna was the vet that both empathically supported Karen and expertly cared for Douglas at the end of his beautiful life.

That was the beginning of their story. The launch of Dignified Departures was the start of their first chapter.

What is Dignified Departures?

Dignified Departures is a ‘not for profit’ company and its primary purpose is to be both a ‘Movement’ and a ‘directory’.

The Movement’s mission is to raise awareness of, and promote advances in, end of life veterinary care and in-home peaceful pet euthanasia.

The Directory is a free resource providing details of those veterinary practices that provide compassionate in-home end of life care and pet euthanasia.   Those listed have an interest in the area of veterinary end of life care and will be ready to support and guide you through this difficult time.
